Where to go on holiday with a motorhome?
Czech Switzerland
Bohemian Switzerland is full of magical nature, viewpoints and rock gorges. Among the most visited places are Pravčická brána, Dolský mlýn, Marie’s Rock or Edmund Kamenice Gorge. Caravans are welcome here, which is why there are several caravan parks in the area. Among them are Camp Formula, Camp Tomáš Tomaštík or Camp Děčín.
Sumava
You can have fun in Šumava in every season. In spring and summer, you will discover an amazing natural landscape, forests and hills. In autumn you will see these forests in magical colours and in winter you can ski down such hills. Just bear in mind that in the winter months you will only see one campsite, and that is in Železná Ruda. Outside of winter, the Antýgl campsite is popular.
Linden
Where to go swimming in the Czech Republic? It is said that Lipno is such a Czech sea. It is ideal for summer family holidays full of trips. You don’t have to worry that you won’t find a campsite in the area, there are plenty of them.
Moravia
Lovers of good wine will be delighted by South Moravia. It would be a sin not to taste wines from local winemakers. So park your car, put down your keys and set off on foot for the experience. The famous campsite is Vranovská pláž, which is located next to the Vranov Dam. Others include Camping U Zápeců, Camping u Jezera or Eurocamping Bojkovice.
Marianske Lazne
Healing springs, beautiful city, sights and nature. You can discover all this in Marianske Lazne. Even in this town you don’t have to spend on expensive accommodation. Take advantage of the campsites that are available in the area. Popular ones include Camping Stanowitz or Camping La Provence near Marianske Lazne.
Beskydy
Still don’t know where to go with your motorhome? Besides the Beskydy Mountains, you can visit the Vsetín Hills, Soláň and the Javorník Ridge. You will find great places to relax, but also to go hiking. Beskydy and Wallachia are great places for winter fun. You can choose from the campsites – RESORT & CAMP Dešná, Camp Ranch Bystřička and Camp Pulčín.
For the more adventurous who want to go outside the Czech Republic, we also have tips. Among the most visited are Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria or Croatia. If you want to travel to countries where you can be sure you won’t have any complications with your motorhome, head to Romania or Norway. There are no restrictions on wild camping in these countries. In other countries, you will of course also find places to park, but they will be limited to caravan parks. It takes more time to prepare your trip so that there is a campsite near the place you are visiting.
